Noble Metals Limited is an Integrated Precious Metal Company focused principally on Gold, Platinum, Palladium and Silver in Colombia, South America.
Through the recent acquisition of GPS Metals Lab, Noble Metals has become a specialist precious metal refiner producing platinum, gold, palladium and silver crucibles, foils, pellets, wire, sputtering targets and other precious metal products to the specifications of clients (Add link). Noble Metals has sales offices and sophisticated manufacturing operations at Palmira and Cali in Colombia, and in Hsin-Chu City in Taiwan.
Noble Metals ongoing exploration and assessment projects if successful will lead to mining in the Choco Region of Colombia and provide raw metals to the refining business. Noble Metals holds an exclusive agreement covering over 105,975 hectares in Choco Department, Colombia with the Novita Higher Community Council. Noble Metals metals has established a precious metals processing facility at Novita consisting of Knelson concentrators and Gemini tables, aimed at significantly increasing recoveries of precious metals and allowing Noble Metals to toll treat local concentrates.
The Choco region is the leading producer of precious metals in Colombia. Small-scale operations in the municipality of Novita and the surrounding communities of Condoto, Tado and Sipi produced 15,317 ounces platinum and 278,702 ounces gold in 2011 (www.upme.gov.co). Gold and platinum is produced in Choco by rudimentary methods, mainly hydraulic concentration. Along with Stillwater (USA), Choco is the world’s only significant primary platinum-producing district outside of South Africa, Russia and Zimbabwe. Choco was the world’s sixth-largest source of platinum in 2012 (United States Geological Survey, 2013).
